Oscar-winning actress Juliette Binoche had never danced before. British/Bangladeshi choreographer Akram Khan had little experience as an actor. Yet, they decided to work together and create an ambitious work of dance-theatre, which premiered at the National Theatre in London.
The BBC's Imagine programme, presented by Alan Yentob, followed them for seven months and filmed Khan trying to make Binoche dance while he himself developed his own acting skills and learned to play the guitar.
