Followed by a talk by artist Yair Garbuz and film director Galia Oz on: What makes an unforgotten artist; A portrait of the artist as a lazy bum.
Can an artist be too modest to become famous? Asher Feldman was an Israeli painter who led an anonymous life but created an artistic treasure containing hundreds of paintings. Years after his death, his only daughter Lola, as lively as an adolescent at her 80th birthday, faces a dramatic decision: Will she keep his works to herself, as her father did, or sell them and thus share them with the rest of the world?
This is a story about people who dare to give up fame and big money, and an encounter with a hidden piece of Israeli legacy.
