A group of men and women from Yeruham formed a theatre ensemble and are planning to perform Moliere's "Tartuffe" – in Morrocan. The film focuses on three of the women and their life on stage but mostly their life off it.
The three are aware of the restrictions of life in a small town and it is their wish, each in her own way, to break through the boundaries. They believe that they have no future in Yeruham, a town where nothing happens. The grandmother says: "I was sitting there yesterday, not even a bird flew by… nothing".
The evening rehearsals become a refuge for the women, into which they enter each night, only to return to their tiresome daily routine.
This is a film about three strong women trying to break the cycle of everyday life and make their dream come true - and not by theatre alone.
